JULY 1, 2009:  UPDATE ON RESORTS AT LAKE BERRYESSA

The U. S. Bureau of Reclamation oversees the Lake Berryessa recreation area. Most of the concessionaire contracts for resorts at Lake Berryessa expired in 2008.  New contracts and new facilities are in the works, according the the US Bureau of Reclamation's website. Putah Creek Resort, Rancho Monticello Resort, Berryessa Marina Resort,
and Spanish Flat Resort are all closed for the 2009 season pending cleanup, removal activities and associated legal issues.

For summer visitors, however, areas for public use are now limited to the following:

Markley Cove Resort
Markley Cove is open: cabin rentals, a convenience store, food service, marina services, boat slips, boat and jet ski rentals, boat gasoline. No day use picnic area.
New cabins are available for minimum 2-night stay (3 nights on holiday weekends)

Pleasure Cove Marina
A new concession contract was signed 12/23/08; resort has full services
including Houseboat Rentals, Ski Boat, Deck Cruiser & PWC Rentals,
Cabin Rentals, Campground & RV Sites, Boat Slip Rental and Convenience Store

Steele Park Resort:
Marina, RV and convenience store (with limited supplies) open until Oct. 31, 2009.
Motel, cottages, the Boat House Restaurant and Harbor Snack Bar are closed.
Day use is no longer permitted.
